HITOHKA, Japanese Calligrapher and Contemporary Artist
緋桃香 (HITOHKA) means “Fragrance of Red Peach Blossoms”. I want my art-soul-self to have an existence like that of fragrances. They are invisible but surely exist. They connect directly to imagination and memory, and can give people happiness. In traditional incense-smelling ceremony, it is said that incense connects universe and the earth. I like to imagine what it looks like if incense were visible.
